If anyone could dominate online or at tournaments, everyone would. But reality has shown to us that this is not the case. Some players don't have the time to invest in training because of other life commitments such as careers, education and relationships. Some players don't have the community that enables them to get better. Everyone needs that place to go to find other players that want to learn more about the game as you. Some players don't have the experience to know what works, what doesn't work, and where to find the resources that will help them get better more quickly.

Here at Cross Counter Training we want to help players that want to get better at fighting games but run into these issues. We make sure that every minute you spend with us go towards your development and we'll tell you how you can use your time more efficiently afterwards so that after your session, you can make the best out of whatever time you can commit. We will add you to our private Cross Counter Training Facebook group so that you can talk to and connect with every past client we have had so that you have those group of players to go to when you need some help. And we can do all this because you'll be coached by some of the very best from the Fighting Game Community that know how to mentally get through all the barriers that stop players and where you can find all the help you need to develop.


HOW DO THE SESSIONS WORK?

Trainers will always cater to your needs with different teaching styles and formats based on the information you give us when you sign up. However, most sessions typically fall under the this 4-step process:

DIAGNOSTIC sET

The trainer begins by attempting to get a handle on where you are as a player. This is often accomplished by completing a quick set (Best-of-3 or Best-of-5 usually) in which the trainer is given numerous opportunities to look for ways to improve your game as well as gauge your strengths.

lESSONS IN TRAINING MODE

The trainer will then take you into online training mode (or an online versus lobby) so that they can go over concepts that can help you improve. Topics can range from efficiently using your time in training mode to expanding your understanding of each of your normal attacks.

APPLICATION SET

After you have the chance to see the holes in your game and how to patch them, you will have to do your best to apply everything that you learned in another set with the trainer. Don't worry - students aren't expected to perfect what they just learned, but it's a good start towards implementing it.

HOMEWORK

Before the session ends, the trainer will give you some homework that will help you retain and implement everything that you learned. Tasks given can typically range from "Throw 100 fireballs on each side per day" to "Practice going online and winning with X move."

In this group, you can find training partners from around the world, ask questions to our roster of trainers, and update everyone about your training progress!
